Costa Rica La Palma (MAY 26)

Costa Rica La Palma is sourced from COOPEPALMARES, a cooperative founded in 1962 in the Palmares canton of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Today, the cooperative includes more than 1,450 producer members and operates a modern processing facility focused on both quality and environmental responsibility.

The mill utilizes recycled water during processing, while mechanical dryers recirculate airflow to improve energy efficiency. COOPEPALMARES also operates a water treatment plant and produces organic fertilizer from coffee byproducts as part of its sustainability efforts.

Beyond coffee production, the cooperative plays an important role within the local community. Members have access to low-interest loans and healthcare services through a cooperative-run health center and mobile clinic. COOPEPALMARES also operates local supermarkets and produces roasted coffee for the domestic Costa Rican market. Please note: Full bag quantities of this coffee do not include GrainPro liners.
